Note using an oven, it should be at 40 degrees Celsius or 50 degree Celsius  and spray aerosol to keep it attractive. Once the flower is dried, some could loose its natural color. now is when you need to improvise. You can color them. Play around with various colors to suit your taste.
*Step 3* After step two is completed, to get a desired shape, you can use a pressing iron and cover the flower in a paper or cloth and press it.
*Step 4* Apparently a potpourri is a mixture herbs and spices. Try using some rose oil, or essentials. Pour this scented oil or perfume into the potpourri herbs, and cover it for at least a week. Then open it and allow the scent assimilate the whole room.
